One of the most popular personalities of Bollywood, Bipasha Basu was last seen on the big screen in the 2015 film Alone, on the sets of which she met the love of her life, Karan Singh Grover. The two tied the nuptial knot a year later and have been enjoying a happily married life. Well the beauty recently made a comeback with Vikram Bhatt’s web series Dangerous, opposite Karan. While Bipasha has been away from the silver screen since many years, the actress has had a very beautiful journey in the film industry, with numerous versatile performances to her credit.

In a recent chat with Bollywood Hungama, Bipasha looked back at her two decade long journey in films and shared how thinking about it brings a big smile to her face. She remembered transitioning from a girl who did not want to be an actor to a household name. Bipasha shared, “So I think when I look back, even the thrillers that I have been a part of; Race was fantastic, Bachna Ae Haseeno was another one of my memorable roles. Corporate was released at a time when women were not doing so many rules where they were spearheading at that time and I got the opportunity to carry lots of films on my shoulders- able shoulders. They gave me a lot of love from the audience and the media.”

Talking about her non-filmy background, the beauty went on to state, “I think that has been the result of why an actor can sustain that many number of years, without being a part of the industry right from the beginning. I was an absolute outsider and the industry has given me many chances, but it is the audience's acceptance that keeps you there. So I am very happy, an outsider who turned into an insider. It has been a beautiful journey and I can’t ask for more. I know the journey is not over.” Bipasha also stated that now is a good time for female actors because people are writing roles irrespective of age and marital status.

Well we are eagerly waiting to see Bipasha again on the big screen!
