    Black Panther Star Chadwick Boseman Succumbs To Colon Cancer, Passes Away At 43

    Actor Chadwick Boseman, star of Black Panther passed away on Friday, 28th August, ‘20 after a four-year battle with colon cancer. He was 43 years old.  

    Before the actor was cast as the Marvel Studios Superhero, Boseman’s career hit a high with his hugely popular portrayal of Black baseball star Jackie Robinson opposite Harrison Ford in 2013’s 42. The actor was also very popular with the portrayal of another black character James Brown. 

    An official statement on his Twitter account reads, “It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman.” 

    The statement further read, "A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much," his family said in the statement. "From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson's Ma Rainey's Black Bottom and several more — all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. It was the honour of his career to bring King T'Challa to life in Black Panther."
