BMC Asks Bombay High Court To ‘Dismiss’ Kangana’s Demand Of Rs 2 Crores Against Damages

Kangana Ranaut is making it to the headlines every day. At times due to her fiery posts on social media and at times due to her ongoing scuffle with the Shiv Sena led BMC [Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation].

After BMC demolished her Mumbai office, the Panga actress took the matter to the High Court challenging the BMC and has filed a petition demanding Rs 2 crores against damages done to her property. And the latest is the BMC has responded to the top court and has asked to ‘dismiss plea with costs’. They claimed the petition was just an ‘abuse of process.’

According to the PTI, the BMC responded saying, "The writ petition and the reliefs sought for therein constitute an abuse of process. The petition should not be entertained and should be dismissed with costs."

BMC’s lawyer Joel Carlos replied to Bombay High Court saying Kangana had falsified the fact that alterations were being done after permissions had been previously granted to. He said that during the inspection being carried out before the demolition, it was seen that ‘repairs and alterations’ were being done at the actress’s Mumbai office.
