Bob Biswas: Abhishek Bachchan Starrer Kahaani Spin-Off To Release In Summer 2021?

Abhishek Bachchan had dropped our jaws with his performance in Breathe and Ludo last year. The actor played two different characters and he simply aced the roles. He has two more films that are ready for release and now we hear that one of them would hit sooner than we were expecting.

We are talking about the 2012 film Kahaani's spin-off, Bob Biswas, where the actor would play the titular role. The shoot of the film had begun last year in January but came to a halt due to the pandemic. It was wrapped up by December. Now the film, which also stars Chitrangada Singh might release in Summer. According to a source quoted saying, “Bob Biswas will release in the theatres in summer 2021. The makers are presently eying May and should lock the final date in a few days. Abhishek and Chitrangada Singh have also completed most of their dubbing for the film, which is presently in the post-production stage.”

In Kahaani, the character of Bob Biswas was played by Bengali actor Saswata Chatterjee, who did a brilliant job and left everyone intrigued even with his limited screen presence. He lent the character an aura of mystery. The spin off would be directed by Diya Annapurna Ghosh and produced by Shah Rukh Khan. Besides Bob Biswas, Abhishek will be seen in Big Bull, which would release directly on Disney + Hotstar. Apart from that, he has also reportedly signed a film titled Dasvi.
