Bollywood Actress Dropped Off Dear Zindagi After Shah Rukh Khan And Karan Johar Vouched For Alia Bhatt?

Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt's starrer Dear Zindagi is a heartwarming tale that we can watch over and over. Alia shines in this tale of self-discovery as Kiara who is moving in and out of relationships while battling her childhood traumas with the help of her psychologist played by Shah Rukh.

As perfect as Alia seemed as Kiara, she wasn’t the first choice for this Gauri Shinde film.  Word is that Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar convinced Gauri that Alia won’t look too young in the role of Kiara and replaced an actress who was already on board for the role.

An old interview of Alia with Rajeev Masand is going viral on social media where she can be seen saying that there was someone who was onboard to play Kiara after which there was conversation to approach her for the part.

Rajeev in the interview said that he had heard the film was supposed to have someone else and Alia responded saying, “That I don’t know about. I know that there was someone else on board earlier and then there was a conversation about maybe going to me and that's all I know." 

Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt have been on the receiving end of a lot of flak in the ongoing nepotism debate and the video going viral isn’t really helping their case. Both Karan and Alia haven’t made any comments on the nepotism matter off late.
