Boney Kapoor On Sridevi's Third Death Anniversary Says He's Not looking For Closure: I Want Her To Be Around Me All The Time

Three years have passed since Sridevi’s tragic demise but the veteran actress’s husband Boney Kapoor says he’s not interested in closure. The producer is coping with the loss of his wife by immersing himself in his work while being surrounded by her memories.

Speaking on Sridevi’s death anniversary, Boney Kapoor spoke about the loss and told Gulf News, “I am not looking for closure. I want her to be around me all the time. She is there in my thoughts and will remain in my thoughts all the time. There is not a single moment of the day where she is not with me. She may not be here physically, but she’s there in my mind all the time and that keeps me going.”

Boney wished that Sridevi’s fans showered the same kind of love on his kids. Talking about coping after his wife’s demise, he said, “Only to remain sane, I am working round the clock 24/7. I am doing films in every which way possible. I don’t want to sit back and think about it (her death) because there should be no negativity in my mind. I feel she’s still with me and will remain with me.”

The producer and his daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor every year attend a puja in Sridevi’s honour in Chennai at the late actress’s Mylapore home. They visited Chennai on Monday ahead of the late actress’s death anniversary.

Sridevi died on 24 February 2018 in her hotel room in Dubai.
