Boney Kapoor Upset With Filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli As RRR's Release Date Clashes With Maidaan Says, "This Is Most Unethical"

Actor Ajay Devgn, it seems, will be clashing with his own film at the box office after the filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli set the release date of his highly anticipated film RRR. The Babhubali filmmaker’s pan Indian project which has a significant cameo by Ajay will be clashing with his sports drama Maidaan which will release two day later.

As both the films look to encash the Dusshera holiday, producer Boney Kapoor who is backing Maidaan has stepped forward after Rajamouli’s significant announcement and expressed his displeasure at the impending clash.  S.S. Rajamouli release date for the Ram Charan and Jr. NTR led movie was announced on Monday.

Boney Kapoor while speaking with Bollywood Hungama stated that it was highly unethical of the filmmaker to pick the same week as Maidaan to release his film. Reacting to RRR’s Dusshera arrival Boney told the portal, “Of course I am upset! This is most unethical. I announced my release date for Maidaan six months ago. At a time when we should all be coming together to save the movie industry, he (Rajamouli) has gone and done this.”

A source also told the portal that Rajamouli was made well aware by Ajay that his film set on football legend Syed Abdul Rahim and had therefore requested him to consult with Boney Kapoor before setting a release date for RRR.

We wonder how Ajay will prevent this clash as the release dates for both films are announced and ultimately if one film has to move which one would it be.
