Brahmastra: Karan Johar Spills The Beans About Shah Rukh Khan’s Cameo In The Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt Starrer

It has been a long time, more than a year to be precise since we saw Shah Rukh Khan on the big screen. Zero was a box office failure and later he even walked out of the Rakesh Sharma biopic. However, he did shoot for a cameo appearance in the Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor starrer Brahmastra.

Producer Karan Johar revealed that the team did not want o give out any details about Shah Rukh Khan’s role in the film but he and Ayan Mukherji are more than grateful to him because he agreed to be part of the film and also shared some valuable tips and ideas for the project. He further went on to state that the energy Shah Rukh Khan brings on the set by his presence is unparalleled.

Johar also stated that they will soon come out with the release date of Bramhastra Part 1 pretty soon.

Speaking of the franchise, Karan also said, Ayan Mukerji has the structure of both parts ready along with the writing part that is firmly in place. He went on to reveal, Ayan has been working on it every single day for the last five years. He further said that this is Ayan's brainchild and that he received tremendous support from Alia, Ranbir, and Amitabh Bachchan. Karan Johar concluded that he has seen Ayan Mukerji work and create something that Indian cinema has never seen before.

Brahmastra is produced by Dharma Productions and is all set for a ’20 release.
