    Brahmastra Release Date Announcement Pushed After Ranbir Contracts COVID-19; Promo To Be Shot Post Recovery

    Alia Bhatt and her actor boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor recently resumed the shoot of Ayan Mukerji’s upcoming film Brahmastra. It is undoubtedly one of the most talked about Bollywood projects which fans have eagerly been waiting for. Sadly, the shoot came to an abrupt halt yet again when Ranbir tested positive for COVID-19. His mother and veteran actress Neetu Kapoor shared the news on social media and announced that he is under quarantine. Well, this has not only halted shoot but has also affected the marketing team’s plans.

    In a report shared by Bollywood Hungama, a source revealed, “Since this was the last schedule, the marketing team of Brahmastra had decided to shoot a brief promo with Ranbir Kapoor. The idea was to announce the release date of this much awaited big budget movie with the promo. They had planned to shoot the video with Ranbir just a few days before the wrap up. Now that Ranbir has tested positive for the virus, even their plan is on hold.”

    The source went on to add that only after Ranbir has completely recovered will he resume shoot and film the promo. The producers are willing to wait and are hoping that this is the last impediment and the journey till the theatrical release will be smooth hereafter. Also featuring megastar Amitabh Bachchan, South superstar Nagarjuna Akkineni and television’s Naagin Mouni Roy, Brahmastra will serve as the first film in a planned trilogy.
