Bunty Aur Babli writer Jaideep Sahni reviews the rebooted franchise; calls it an ‘enjoyable experience’

Jaideep Sahni, one of the best storytellers in the Hindi film industry, wrote a wonderful and heart-warming tale of small-town aspiration and ambition through Bunty Aur Babli that went on to become a cult hit. Jaideep is one of the first people to see the much-awaited Bunty Aur Babli 2 – a completely rebooted franchise and the laugh-out-loud comedy has bowled him over.

Jaideep says, “It’s the first time I’ve seen my characters in another film, and I found it a new and enjoyable experience, like running into some old friends in a new city. It was fascinating to watch Varun’s vision for his film and his affection for our film coming together into something new.” He adds, “It also brought back crazy memories from the time of making the first Bunty Aur Babli when most of us met each other for the first time and went on to become close friends.
