    If Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan’s electrifying chemistry in the Love Aaj kal trailer is anything to go by, the movie is going to be an intense experience for fans heading out to watch it in theatres this Valentine’s Day. The duo have a crazy fan following even before their first film has hit the theatres with their followers lovingly calling them ‘Sartik’. The villain in the love story, however, seems to be the Central Board Of Film Certification(CBFC) that is said to have axed several of the intense sequence between the actors in the film.

    According to a Bollywood Hungama report Imtiazs Ali’s Love Aaj Kal reboot has been passed with a U/A certification but not without several cuts and modifications. The report claims that several intimates scenes between Sara and Kartik have either been removed or shortened. A kissing scene in the beginning of the movie has said to have been cut short and a lovemaking sequence has been both modified and shortened.

    Imtiaz Ali was also asked to blurr visuals of cleavage in a short after an intimate scene while another short of the actors undressing has been removed. Afpart from these cuts, CBFC also asked the filmmaker to remove words like ‘a**’ and mute words like f**k’ and ‘fu****g’. The term ‘Haraamzaadon’ used in the film was also changed.

    Sara-Kartik starrer Love Aaj Kal is due to release in theatres on 14 Feburary 2020 with some serious modifications. The film much like Saif’s 2009 original shows the difference between romanctic relationships of the past and present shifting between 1991 and 2020. The film also stars Arushi Sharma and Randeep Hooda.
