For quite some time, there had been a question mark hanging on the future of Ajay Devgn starrer Chanakya. The film had been announced long back, but there had been no update about it. Many thought that it had been shelved, but writer Manoj Muntasir had confirmed that the film will be made and would go on floors this year itself. Now, director Neeraj Pandey himself has shared an update about it.

Talking to Pinkvilla, the director has revealed that the film will go on floors by December. He said, “It’s likely to go on the floors towards the end of this year and we are getting into hardcore prep in the next couple of months. Hopefully, we will start shooting by end of the year.”

Talking about how the treatment of the film would be like, he said, “It can’t be explained, you will have to see and get the nature of what we are attempting over here. It’s very difficult to put it in words as to this is how I am going to make Chanakya. There is a team that has been working on it for the last two years. We have followed a process for a couple of years and the process is very shortly going to translate on the screen.”

The film would require Ajay Devgn to go bald, so he would have to focus only on this project. He is currently shooting MayDay.
