Chhapaak Title Track: Deepika Padukone Comes To Terms With The Incident That Changed Her Life With A Splash In The Song

The inspiration behind Deepika Padukone’s upcoming film Chhhapaak is enough to rattle our senses and it is even harder to imagine the mental and emotional scars an acid attack could leave behind apart from the physical ones.

The title track of Chhapaak is out and it takes us through the excruciating painful journey that Deepika’s character Malti had to go through after being attacked in a street. The song shows the painful struggle that only Malti had to go through to get back on her feet and fight for justice for what was done to her but also captures how the incident changed how people look at her.

The song talks about how one’s life takes a complete turn with just a splash of acid and what ensues after is a long uphill battle for justice and finding happiness once again. Vikrant Massey too can be seen in the song fighting for the rights acid attack survivors and how these incidents infuriate him.

The Chhapaak title track has been sung by Arijit Singh, penned by Gulzar and composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy. Directed by Meghna Gulzar Chhapaak will release in theatres on 10 January 2020, the film will be Deepika Padukone’s return to the big screen after Padmaavat which released in 2018.
