Chhapaak Trailer: Deepika Padukone Packs A Solid Punch As An Acid Attack Survivor In One Of The Most Impactful Trailers Ever!

The trailer of Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey starrer Chhapaak is here and as we had expected, this is one of the most impactful trailers we have watched. Not just would you feel the goose bumps all over, but will take you to the depth of a problem that is so rampant and yet no strict action has been taken about it.

Deepika Padukone would play an acid attack survivor in the film. In the 2 something minutes trailer, she has managed to show us what an agony it is to have been attacked with acid. She not just captures the pain, but portrays it in a way that would send chills down your spine.

Deepika’s character would be modelled around that of Laxmi Agarwal, who has been an acid attack survivor herself but has also advocated for curbing free sale of acid in stores. Deepika proves that if one has to take a break and come back to Bollywood, this is how it should be done. From losing hope, to getting used to people getting terrified by her presence because of her deformed face, to finding happiness and strength and love and giving standing for other survivors, she shows every phase with utmost earnestness and brilliance.

Of course, the impact is felt because of Meghna Gulzar’s brilliant film making. Right from the presentation to the dialogue, she makes this 2 min video make us want to pause and think.

Vikrant Massey plays a journalist, who stands as a pillar of strength for Deepika’s Malti.
