Chiranjeevi Reveals His Nervousness Before Contacting Amitabh Bachchan For Sye Raa, Jaya Bachchan Played Mediator

In the recently released biopic of Sye Raa Narsimha Reddy, Chiranjeevi was seen in the lead role of the freedom fighter! And Amitabh Bachchan was seen playing his guru!

However, things were not as simple as it seems when they started out. To begin with, Chiranjeevi was extremely nervous and was unsure of whether Big B would agree to play the role of his guru or not!

During an interaction with a media publication, Chiranjeevi revealed he had sought Jaya Bachchan’s help to get Amitabh on board for the role.

In the interview Chiranjeevi revealed, the director of the film told him to directly get in touch with Mr. Bachchan to ask him whether he was keen to play the role of the guru. But he told Surendra Reddy (the director of Sye Raa) about how he felt Mr. Bachchan would not agree to do a 5-day character!

Now, Chiranjeevi who is a member of the Rajya Sabha met up with Jaya Bachchan who is also a member of the Rajya Sabha and told her, he wants to speak to Amitabh! That’s when Jaya asked him to directly get in touch with her. Chiranjeevi told her, he was hesitant to directly get in touch and Jaya advised him to drop a message and also assured him that he would revert.

He then went on to reveal, Big B did call him and agreed to do the role without asking any more questions.

In the film Sye Raa Narsimha Reddy, Chiranjeevi plays the lead and Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of his guru Gosayi Venkanna
