After Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise, many viral reports suggested that the actor was being boycotted by Bollywood biggies, who had allegedly decided to shut him out of the industry. This reignited the nepotism debate and the industry was left divided between ‘insiders’ and ‘outsiders’ once again. As a result, most star kids became victims of social media bullying and trolling. One such example is Ananya Panday, who began her journey in Bollywood with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year 2.

In a recent chat with The New Indian Express, Ananya’s father and actor Chunky Panday opened up about trolls and shared that as a father he feels appalled to see kids being attacked, even young children, on social media platforms. So how would he advice his daughter to deal with such trolls? Well Chunky had the perfect answer. He stated, “You have to learn to use it as a tool, it can’t become your personality. You have to treat it like you treat your phone. You can’t get emotional and you can’t let that get you.”

Talking about nepotism and his daughter’s journey, the Housefull actor shared, “As for her (Ananya) journey, she knows exactly how she got her first film. When it comes to an insider and an outsider, the moment you sign your first film, you become an insider. You are no longer an outsider, who is a person trying to get into the film industry. Everyone has a different journey. You can never compare two careers ever. There are always hits and misses in careers.”

The actor went on to add that he doesn’t see anything like an insider or outsider as he has been in the industry for around 33 years and everyone that has arrived is accepted like a companion and co-worker. He concluded, “I’ve never seen the difference.”
