    The nation has been gripped with a scare for coronavirus. The COVID-19 attack has been declared a pandemic with people from all over the world contracting the viral infection. As a measure to control it, public places are being monitored. In the wake of increasing cases in Delhi, the Delhi government has declared that theatres will remain shut till March 31st.

    Well, it is known to all that Delhi is one of the key contributors to the box-office business of any film. With the decision coming in today, Irrfan Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Angrezi Medium would be shrouded in uncertainty. The film is due for release tomorrow and if the shutdown happens from tomorrow itself, the film that anyway has been made on a small budget, would incur significant losses.

    But the bigger film in question here is Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. The third film of his cop universe went bigger, with the three cops coming together to fight terrorism. The release of the film has been uncertain since the last week and the makers had anyway been considering shifting the release date so as to get the expected biz from the film. With this announcement, we believe that the makers would definitely shift the release date.


    Other releases that will be affected include Dibakar Banerjee’s Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, starring Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra. The film’s promotions had been anyay affected and now its release is uncertain. Another film that was to release on 20th March was Tillotamma Shome’s Sir.
