If you had been wondering whether or not you will be able to go to the theatres again this year, there is news for you. The nation is embracing itself for the fifth phase of Unlock from the 15th of October and this time, the centre has allowed cinema halls to operate. The only catch is theatres would be allowed to reopen with 50% capacity only, keeping in mind the social distancing norms.

ANI shared a tweet bearing the news and many celebs were overjoyed. In fact, Abhishek Bachchan called it the 'best news of the week'.

The Multiplex Association Of India wholeheartedly welcomed the move. They also sought the state government's permission to allow theatres in their respective states so that movie-goers can get a safe and great experience of enjoying their favourite films on the big screen.

Cinema halls had closed just a few days before the Lockdown was announced. Irrfan Khan's last film, Angrezi Medium, was caught in it and suffered a huge loss. Quite a few films are lined up for theatrical release like Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi and Kabir Khan's multi-starrer '83. Meanwhile, many films opted for an OTT release while the theatres were closed. Are you also ecstatic about the news like Abhishek Bachchan? Let us know in the comments.
