Back in 2018, Rohit Shetty won the audience over with his super hit action comedy film Simmba, starring superstar Ranveer Singh and the very beautiful Sara Ali Khan. The director-actor duo recently joined hands once again to blow movie lovers away with their next project, which has been titled Cirkus. An official adaptation of Gulzar's 1982 cult comedy Angoor, which was based on William Shakespeare's play The Comedy of Errors, Cirkus is based in the 1960s. Well, latest reports have revealed that Bollywood’s reigning queen, Ranveer’s wife Deepika Padukone has now joined the dream team.

That’s right! According to a report shared by Bollywood Hungama, Deepika has been roped in for the period comedy. The beauty has a special dance number and some hilarious sequences in the film. A source revealed, “Cirkus has just got bigger with the presence of Deepika Padukone. She has a special dance number in the film alongside some conversational scenes. Her sequences are sure to bring the house down with laughter.” The report further states that Deepika has already shot her scenes over a period of three days last weekend.

Also starring Jacqueline Fernandez, Pooja Hegde and Varun Sharma, Cirkus will feature Ranveer in a double role for the first time ever. The film is being shot in Mumbai at the moment and is expected to wrap up by next month. Other than Cirkus, love birds Ranveer and Deepika will also share the screen in Kabir Khan’s sports drama ‘83.
