Coronavirus Outbreak: Shahid Kapoor Travels To Punjab With Family Amidst Lockdown

The nation is under a lockdown till the middle of April due to the coronavirus pandemic. The novel virus has taken thousands of life worldwide and is highly contagious. By restricting movement, the government is trying to stop the spread of the disease. But amidst the lockdown Shahid Kapoor and fam has travelled to Punjab’s Beas.

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the actor and his family would be staying in the premises of Radha Soami Satsang Beas. Shahid Kapoor, Pankaj Kapoor and the entire family are ardent followers of this and they even own a house within the premises. In fact, Shahid and Mira’s parents had met through this satsang. So while the Satsang is closed due to the lockdown, those who have their own place in the residence have been allowed to stay. The family has travelled from Mumbai, where Shahid had returned after the shoot of Jersey remake was closed due to the pandemic.

Earlier, the actor courted controversy when he had opened his gym in Mumbai especially for him and wife Mira, despite government orders for all gyms to remain shut. Even though the family would take their own vehicle, this is breaking the law, especially since this wasn’t an essential travel and could have been avoided. What do you think about this?
