Cricket Fans Remember Reel Life Dhoni, Sushant Singh Rajput As They Wish Former Captain M.S. Dhoni On His Birthday

Former Indian cricket captain M.S. Dhoni turns 39 today. Fans of the cricketer are pouring in wishes for Captain Cool on his birthday but those who have loved and watched his biopic, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story are also remembering Sushant Singh Rajput today.

Sushant played the reel life Dhoni and immortalized the story of the former captain. The late actor who had grown close to Dhoni during the making of the film and played him to perfection, mastering his style, sport and looks, is on Dhoni’s birthday being missed by fans as they wish him on social media.

Captain Cool led India to victory in the 2007 T20 World Cup and followed that up by winning the 2011 Cricket World Cup. The cricketer much like Sushant is known for his cool but shy demeanor and according to reports he was shattered to learn about the actor’s death.

A video of the actor also went viral a few weeks ago where Sushant can be seen watching himself on screen as Dhoni during the climax of the film.

The 2016 film was a milestone in Sushant’s filmography and the actor who did not want to let the fans of the cricketer down shouldered the role with responsibility and even mastered Dhoni’s signature helicopter shot to perfection for the film.

Sushant hanged himself in his Mumbai apartment on June 14. He was 34.
