Dalip Tahil's Son Arrested For Possessing Drugs, Actor Says "I Don't Want To Comment"

Bollywood actor Dalip Tahil's son, Dhruv has been taken into police custody for allegedly buying drugs repeatedly. Dhruv had been questioned by the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) after a WhatsApp chat with a recently arrested drug dealer came to light. Now, Dhruv himself has landed in the custody.

Confirming the news to ETimes, DCP Datta Nalawade, ANC said, "He has been arrested under the NDPS act and is presently been kept at Bandra crime branch. He will be produced in court tomorrow."

When Dalip Tahil was contacted, he sounded upset and said, "I don't want to comment at the moment."

According to ANC, Muzammil Shaikh, the drug peddler who had been earlier arrested, and Dhruv, have been in contact since 2019. The latter was arrested after 35 grams of Mephedrone (M.D) drug was found in his possession. Their WhatsApp chats also came to light and revealed that Dhruv had demanded the contraband substance and other drugs several times. An FIR has been registered against Dhruv under sections 27 (Punishment for consumption of any narcotic drug or psychotropic substance) and 29 (Punishment for abetment and criminal conspiracy) of NDPS Act.

Dhruv has been arrested from his parents' house in Andheri East and has also been subjected to a medical test.0
