Deepa Sharma the Himachal landslide victim was once a contestant on KBC, had also visited Kagana's home in Manali

A doctor from Jaipur, Deepa Sharma, recently lost her life minutes after posting pictures from her trip to Himachal Pradesh. She was killed in a landslide in the Sanga Valley in the state where nine lives were lost, injuring a few others. The doctor’s last few pictures went viral soon after the news of the landslide hit the internet, highlighting the cruel irony of her death.

Deepa was in Himachal to celebrate her 38th birthday. More pictures of Deepa are now going viral as it was revealed she was once a contestant on Amitabh Bachchan hosted quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati. The ayurvedic doctor had posted a collage of pictures from the sets of KBC 7 where she can be seen happily posing with the superstar host. She had even made it to the hot seat and won Rs. 6.4 lakhs on the show. “Memories, six years ago, when I was on KBC hot seat on 5th October and 6th October 2013 with Amitabh Bachchan ji,” Deepa’s throwback post was captioned.

Furthermore, actress Kangana Ranaut mourned Deepa’s death on social media and calimed that she was her fan and had even visited her home in Himachal once. Kangana mourning the loss wrote, “She was a great fan, she sent me lovely letters and showered me with gifts and sweets also visited my house in Manali …. Oh !!! Seems like a big jolt… This is beyond tragic… Oh God!!!”
