Deepika Padukone Breaks Down At Chhapaak’s Trailer Launch, Director Meghna Gulzar And Co-Star Vikrant Massey Consoles Her!

There is little doubt in the fact that the trailer of Deepika Padukone’s Chhapaak is one of the most hard-hitting trailers that we have ever seen. The 2 something minute trailer wastes no time in taking us through the agony, pang and sometimes even the discrimination that an acid attack survivor has to go through. The trailer has made many of us teary-eyed as we got a glimpse into the life of a survivor.

Not just us, even leading actress Deepika Padukone broke down in tears as she spoke about the film during the trailer launch.

Talking to the media, Deepika revealed that the film had been an incredible journey for the actress, emotionally and that it be will the most special film that she has done, irrespective of how it would be received by the audiences or the business it does at the box-office. While speaking, her voice cracks and she can be seen breaking down.

Co-star Vikrant Massey also consoles her and gets tissues for her.

Chhapaak is based on the life and journey of acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal, who was attacked when she was just 15 years old. The film will release on 10^th January, 2020.
