    Deepika Padukone Recounts School Days Admits She Hated Academics: Got Left Behind Because I Didn't Know What To Do

    Deepika Padukone has once again stumped us over with her honesty as she spoke about her days as a student and admitted freely that she was never a bright student and even while trying to attempt graduation she failed and said she was clear in her head ‘I don't want an education’.

    The actress made these admissions in a documentary called Batch of 2020 that tries to relieve the stress off youngsters who feel pressured to perform well in academics. Deepika said she wasn’t ever drawn to studies and can says, "I just hated academics. It was never really a passion of mine- education, learning. I always felt like I didn't have to go through academics to sort of be successful or be whatever."

    Talking about her journey through school Deepika recalled how there came a phase where she had to find new friends when all of her friends got busy rank holders, "Exams, tests, none of it ever made any sense to me. I'd say average or below average was where I usually sat. In high school it got to a place where temporarily I formed a new set of friends because my friends were so busy being head girl of the band, head girl of school, head girl of something else. My friends got really popular in school. They were busy doing all of those things. I kind of got left behind because I didn't know what to do. I was never considered a bright student."

    The Bollywood star admitted that she even enrolled herself for a graduation degree through IGNOU but in vain. Deepika was satisfied with her education up to high school.
