Deepika Padukone Reveals Details About Shakun Batra’s Next With Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday; Calls Every Scene ‘Delicious’

After winning hearts with her marvelous performance in Chhapaak, the gorgeous and supremely talented Deepika Padukone is all set to wow the audience once again with Shakun Batra’s upcoming romantic drama. Also featuring Gully Boy star Siddhant Chaturvedi and the beautiful Ananya Panday, the film was supposed to go on floors in the month of March and the team was meant to start shooting in Sri Lanka, but the production unfortunately came to a halt because of the coronavirus pandemic.

In a recent chat with a web portal, Deepika expressed her excitement of working with the filmmaker and shared, “I love the kind of films he (Shakun) enjoys watching as a person and as a director, films that he is influenced by. They are totally the kind of films I have always enjoyed watching as an audience and as an actor, the kind of films that I love being part of which is just people and relationships. The idea is simple but it’s really about moments. Which is why I am looking forward to this film because it’s exactly that. I mean yes of-course there is a story and a narrative but every scene is delicious and there is so much for us to do in it.”

Before the romantic drama, Deepika will shine on the big screen in Kabir Khan’s sports film ‘83, opposite husband Ranveer Singh. Interestingly, earlier reports suggested that Dhairya Karwa, who is playing the role of Ravi Shastri in ‘83, will romance the actress in Shakun’s directorials.
