Deepika Padukone Reveals How Karan Johar Predicted That She Would Be A Good Producer

Deepika Padukone has been acing every role that is coming her way. Although the actress has not had a release post Padmaavat in the early 2018, no one can dispute the fact that Deepika is the reigning queen of Bollywood right now.

As 2020 dawns upon us, Deepika is going to enter a very different role with Chhapaak  and not just that of an acid attack survivor. We are talking about Deepika turning co-producer for the film, a role that she will be stepping into for the first time.

Speaking about this sudden change, Deepika said that she used to joke about the same with producer Dinesh Vijan. She also recalled how Karan Johar saw the early signs. Deepika spoke about she used to take interest in the expenses of the film when she was shooting for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. She said, “I thought Ayan was being indulgent. How does it matter where Bunny is globetrotting? He could be in Africa, Goa or even Juhu beach. Why are extensive recces required? Karan was like, ‘I don’t have a problem spending so much money, why do you care?’ He was taunting me when he said I’ll make a good producer.”

Well, looks like not just acting talent, but Karan has a keen eye in spotting other talents in people as well.
