Deepika Padukone To Be Paired Opposite Ajay Devgn And Not Ranbir Kapoor In Luv Ranjan's Next?

Luv Ranjan’s next venture is casting coup of sorts starring Ranbir Kapoor, Ajay Devgn and also Deepika Padukone. The names of the two lead actors where always final but there were speculations that Deepika might not do the film owing to the #MeToo allegations that were levied on the filmmaker. Now a source close to the production claims that Deepika is definitely on board for the film and there was never an issue in casting.

The source quoted by Bollywood Hungama claims, “All the three leads players are Ranjan’s first choices. There was never any dithering. The uncertainty was only in the media’s mind.Ajay Devgn, Ranbir Kapoor, and Deepika Padukone loved their roles from the start.”

The report also claims that while fans have been excited about the project given that it would be an on-screen reunion for Ranbir and Deepika after Tamaasha, but the actress, in fact, has been paired opposite Ajay in the movie.

While the news might be disheartening for the fans looking forward to the film, one can truly expect Luv Ranjan to take the audience by surprise.

The project will go on floors somewhere in the middle of 2020. In the meantime, Deepika is awaiting the release of her two other upcoming films Chhaapaak and 83.
