Deepika Padukone’s Mahabharat Might Clash With Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bawra On Diwali 2021

We might still not be done with the last remnants of the Diwali festivities, but we already know what we are doing two years from now on Diwali 2021. Recently, Sanjay Leela Bhansali announced that he is all set to remake the 1952 classic Baiju Bawra which will come out on Diwali 2021.

However, it looks like Sanjay is not the only one eyeing the Diwali release slot and might clash with his protégée Deepika Padukone. If reports are to be believed then Deepika is also keen on releasing Mahabharata around the same time. As you all know that apart from playing the role of Draupadi in the film she would also be co-producing the film with Madhu Mantena.

It is usually the collaboration between Deepika and SLB that have created fireworks at the box-office, thus it will be interesting to see what effect their clash can have at the box-office.

Talking about their current project, Deepika is currently busy with Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapak that will come out in September and of course, Kabir Khan’s 83 in January which she is also co-producing. On the other hand, Bhansali these days is busy with Gangubaii Kathiawadi starring Alia Bhatt which will hit the screens on 11^th September 2020.
