Deepika-Ranveer Pledge Donation To PM-CARES Fund, Sonam Kapoor And Yash Raj Films To Also Help The Needy

The coronavirus pandemic has caused the world to come to a standstill and has hit the economy like never before. While the upper class and the middle class have been affected to, it is the poor and the vulnerable who are suffering the most. Bollywood has come together during this time and is donating freely to help everyone out there. The recent ones to join are Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, Yash Raj Films and Sonam Kapoor.

Deepika took to social media to reveal and she and Ranveer are pledging donations towards the PM- CARES fund and requested everyone to do their bit. However, she did not mention any amount.  Here’s her post:

Yash Raj Films’ Yash Chopra Foundation has taken up the responsibility of taking care of 3000 daily wage earners from the industry. They would transfer Rs. 5000 to each individual’s bank accounts. Here is the entire statement:

Sonam Kapoor has also pledged to donate, but in as completely different way. Her husband’s company, Bhane, would be donating all the revenue from their e-shops to feed stary animals during the lockdown. Here’s the post:
