Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani is exciting for a lot of reasons. Not only does the film mark Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s reunion after Gully Boy, and brings back Karan Johar in the director’s chair, the movie also stars some amazing senior actors including Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi.

Talking about working with this talented bunch, Dharmendra opened up about the project in a recent interview. The Sholay actor heaped praises on the lead pair Ranveer and Alia and told Times of India, “Ranveer looks so natural in all his films. Bada hi pyaara ladka hai. Whenever we bump into each other at a function, woh aake mere paas baith jaata hai. Likewise, Alia is also brilliant with her work.”

Simultaneously he is happy to be reuniting with Jaya Bachchan and working with Shabana Azmi for the very first time. The veteran star revealed that he was to work with Shabana in a film called Bichoo years ago but the project failed to materialize. Finally collaborating for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, the actor said, “Ab iss film mein poori bhadaas nikaal lenge.”

Finally, about Karan Johar, the 85-year-old star said he has made some ‘lovely movies’. Talking about Karan approaching him for Rocky Aur Rani the actor added, “When I heard the script, I felt like he’s written the role keeping me in mind. He also told me, ‘Dharam saab aap jaise ho real life mein, mujhe waise hi chahiye aap on screen’. So, I guess mujhe acting bilkul nahi karni padegi isme (Dharam sir, I want you to be just the way you are in real life. So I guess I wouldn't need to act at all this time).”

Recently, Karan, Ranveer and the Dharma crew were in Delhi recently hunting for locations for the film. Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani will reportedly go on floors in September.
