Sakshi Tanwar reveals Manoj Bajpayee was her 1st director
After impressing the audience with Ekta Kapoor’s 2019 web show M.O.M. - Mission Over Mars, the very versatile Sakshi Tanwar is now ready to return to our screens with her next project, Dial 100. Co-starring the very talented Neena Gupta and Manoj Bajpayee, the thriller drama has been helmed by Rensil D'Silva and will premiere on ZEE5 on 6th August. While Manoj has portrayed the role of a cop in the film, Sakshi has played his on-screen wife whereas Neena is a mother out for revenge.
In a recent chat with Indian Express, Sakshi shared her experience of working with Neena ji. She was quoted saying, “She is someone I have always admired. Apart from being a great actor, while shooting, I came to know she is a wonderful, warm person. Since we mostly shot at night, it could have been tough, but with her, it became such a pleasant time. She was fun, lively and we could connect and talk about so many things. We would sing together, and I kept asking her about her previous work which I had liked. I think I couldn’t have asked for more as I got to work with Neena ji and Manoj sir together.”
Talking about Bajpayee, Sakshi revealed that back when she was in college, the actor had come for a workshop to the institute. She stated, “He is, in a way, my first director as he worked with us on a play Madam, where I was playing the lead. It actually took me 30 years to share screen space with him.”
Well, the intriguing trailer as well as the exciting star cast has left us with really high expectations from Dial 100!
