    Dilip Kumar's funeral at 5 PM, actor's mortal remains taken home first

    Bollywood legend Dilip Kumar died at Mumbai’s Hinduja hospital due to age-related ailments. He was 98. The thespian is regarded as the ‘tragedy king’ in Indian cinema is being mourned by millions of his fans and followers across the globe and especially by his family and colleagues in Bollywood.

    Dilip Kumar was admitted to the hospital after he complained of breathlessness on June 30. While his wife Saira Banu had assured on Monday with a tweet that the actor’s health was improving, on Wednesday morning the world woke up to the news of his tragic demise which was confirmed by his friend, Faisal Farooqui.

    The tweet read, “With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, few minutes ago. We are from God and to Him we return. - Faisal Farooqui”

    The late actor’s mortal remains have been taken to his home from the Hinduja hospital, where his family and well wishers have already started gathering to pay their last respect. Dilip Kumar will be buried at 5 PM at Juhu Qabrastan, Santacruz Mumbai.

    A star of the golden age of cinema, Dilip Kumar was known for his films like Devdas, Naya Daur, Mughal-e-Azam, Ganga Jamuna, Kranti, and several others.
