    Diljit Dosanjh says watching Bharti Singh perform inspired him to be an actor showers praises on the comedian

    Diljit Dosanjh went live on social media to celebrate the success of his film Honsla Rakh with his fans. The Punjabi film that stars Sonam Bajwa and Shehnaaz Gill alongside the actor has received a lot of love from fans and a bumper weekend opening at the box office despite the current circumstances.

    Diljit during his live tried to answer questions from fans and also tried to get comedian Bharti Singh to join him during the chat. While she was busy shooting for The Kapil Sharma Show, and couldn’t join him Diljit showered praises on her for her acting chops. The singer-turned actor revealed that he became a fan of Bharti after seeing her perform live in Amritsar a few years ago.

    “She is my favourite. I had seen her perform at Amritsar. That was the first time when I saw her perform live. This was when I was just a singer and not an actor. People were so happy to see her. That was the first time when I felt I should also try hands on acting,” Diljit said crediting the comedian for instilling the thought of becoming an actor in him.

    He went on to call comedians Kapil Sharma and Bharti Singh ‘Pride of Punjab’.

    Honsla Rakh a slice of life comedy film, released worldwide in theatres on Dussehra and earned over Rs. 15 crores during its opening weekend, a feat most films which released during the pandemic have failed to achieve.
