Director Debamitra’s debut vehicle Motichoor Chaknachoor has released at the theatres, well the numbers are dismal and the film is even worse. The critics and audiences alike have paned the film! There was a lot of hullabaloo before the release of the film when the director and the producer of the film were at loggerheads!

The director Debamitra Biswal and the producer of the film were at loggerheads and they made sure to play the mudslinging game with each other. And now when the film was released, director Debamitra is flabbergasted, she is absolutely shell-shocked at the end result. So much so that now she is begging people not to see the film because the final product is not what she made. According to her, the producers did whatever they felt like with the film.

In an interview with Spotboye, Biswal spoke at length about how her work had been shunned and other visuals were stitched together to complete the film on time. Debamitra said she had seen the film because the court had ruled that the producers had to show the film to the director, she has been quoted as saying, “I was shown the film when the court had issued an order to Rajesh Bhatia (producer) stating that you will have to show the film to the director. And after seeing the movie, I thought to myself: OMG! What have they made?”

Debamitra revealed that they edited out the portions that were directed by her. She has been quoted as saying,” I had directed the film no doubt, but they chucked out portions and introduced unnecessary shots. There is nothing left in the film. It looks like a C-grade Bhojpuri film.”
