Divya Dutta opens up about playing the antagonist in Kangana led Dhaakad, describes her role as 'fabulous' and 'badass'

Kangana Ranaut’s action film Dhaakad the wrapped up with a schedule in Budapest will see Divya Dutta playing an antagonist. The seasoned actress has now opened up about her role and in the film and dubbed it as ‘fabulous’ and ‘badass’.

Without giving away too many details, Divya while speaking to News 18 about Dhaakad said, “It is a fabulous role. I am playing an antagonist in it. It is a badass role and something I have never done before. I thoroughly enjoyed doing this film. Kangana (Ranaut) and Arjun (Rampal) are very good in it. The outdoor was very nice after the lockdown. Hungary was beautiful. I saw places and shot around."

The audience has already been given a glimpse of the characters from Dhaakad and while Kangana who plays a spy in the film can be seen drawing some serious inspiration from Rambo, Divya’s bold look and deadly expressions on the poster make her a baddie to watch out for.

On being asked about attempting action in the film, Divya added, “I have done a lot of action and car racing previously. I really enjoy it. Dhaakad is very different, of course. I am more known for my emotional roles so people tend to notice this side of me lesser. I enjoy unravelling the role on the set. Workshops happen but I love being on set more and unfurling it."

Dhaakad was earlier slated to arrive in theatres on October 1 but like many other films, it has been delayed indefinitely due to the pandemic.
