Down With COVID-19 Abhishek Bachchan Receives A Note From Chelsea Captain Cesar Azpilicueta, Says 'This Made My Week'

Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan have been ailing in the Nanavati Hospital after contacting the coronavirus for nearly three weeks now. While Amitabh has been active on social media since a few days after he was admitted, Abhishek only recently resumed posting on his social handles and on Saturday shared a special note received from the football Premier League Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta.

The thoughtful note from the football club certainly made Abhishek’s day who has been a fan of the team for many years now. Azpilicueta in his note wrote to the Bollywood actor, “We heard you aren't very well at the moment and just wanted to get in touch to wish you all the best. I know the players and I were very moved when we heard about what you have been going through and we just wanted to let you know that we are thinking of you and your family in what I can imagine are difficult times.”

Abhishek thanked the Chelsea Football Club and wrote, “This made my week. Thank you so much @chelseafc. The only thing that would top this is winning the FA Cup this evening. Come on Chelsea!!!”

The actor’s wife Aishwarya Rai and daughter Aaradhya also contacted the deadly virus and were also briefly admitted to the hospital but have now been cured and are back home. There is no news yet on Abhishek and Amitabh’s discharge yet.
