Drugs Probe: Deepika Padukone's Manager Karishma Prakash Fails To Turn Up At The NCB Office; Agency Issues Fresh Summon

Deepika Padukone’s manager Karishma Prakash has been on the NCB’s radar for quite a while now. This started when Karishma an employee of the Kwan talent management agency was summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau for being a part of the Whatsapp group with Deepika and Jaya Saha (also an employee of Kwan), in which they discussed narcotics. It was said that Padukone’s manager had some connections with the drug peddlers and was called for interrogation by the NCB regarding the same. 

Recently, the Narcotics Control Bureau conducted a raid at Karishma’s Versova apartment on Tuesday and seized 1.7gm Charas and two bottles of CBD oil from her residence, Prakash was summoned by the NCB once again on Wednesday for questioning.  Even during the raid, Prakash was not present at her house but it was conducted in the presence of her acquaintances. 

However, as per the sources, Karishma Prakash did not turn up for the interrogation and one of the officials said that she did not give a reason behind her absence. The official said, “Prakash did not appear before us today (Wednesday). We will wait for her to join the investigation.”

  As per the sources, Karishma was consulting her legal team to decide on a further course of action. The peddler who was in touch with Prakash has been arrested in the FIR no. 16/20 case along with Nikhil Saldana who also had connections in the said case.
