Ek Villain Returns: Arjun Kapoor To Join John Abraham & Disha Patani In April; Reveals The Genre’s Speciality

At the beginning of this month, filmmaker Mohit Suri began the filming of his much awaited project Ek Villain Returns, with John Abraham and Disha Patani in Mumbai. The Mahurat of the film was held at Bandra's G7 Multiplex and photos of the team sporting matching hoodies featuring a yellow smiley took over the internet. However, fans wondered why Arjun Kapoor and Tara Sutaria, who are also a part of the film, were not present at the launch. Well, Arjun has now revealed that he will join the team next month.

In a chat with Pinkvilla, the Ishaqzaade actor was quoted saying, “Villain they are shooting with John and Disha right now, I start in early April. This genre’s speciality is that you will not know who’s good, who’s bad, who’s right and who’s wrong, everybody has something that makes them grey. For me that is very exciting. I was waiting for the right kind of film to do that, and to work with a director (Mohit) who I really enjoyed working with (in Half Girlfriend), who has a great cinematic taste.”

Arjun went on to add that he feels Ek Villain Returns will be consumed in cinemas on the big screen soon after COVID-19 vaccines are taken by movie-lovers and they return to theatres. He shared, “Villain is the kind of film I always wanted to do as an actor to entertain people pan India.”

Jointly produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, Ek Villain Returns will hit theatres on 11th February next year.
