Ekkis: Varun Dhawan will soon begin prep for the first biopic of his career; film to go on floors in February 2022

Actor Varun Dhawan began his journey in Bollywood in 2012 with Student of the Year. In the last 9 years, not only has he won the audience over with his performances, but also proved his versatility as an actor. Well, the handsome hunk is now all set to take things up a notch with the first ever biopic film of his career! Varun, who has been roped in to play the lead in Sriram Raghavan’s upcoming film Ekkis, is all set to begin his prep from November. The film is based on the life of Param Vir Chakra awardee Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal.

According to a report shared by Pinkvilla, the film will go on floors in February 2022. A source was quoted saying, “This is among the most ambitious projects of Varun’s career and the actor has been in prep more all through the last two years, learning more and more about the traits of an army officer. As Jug Jug Jeeyo nears completion, Varun is excited to slip into the first biopic of his career.” The much awaited film is being backed by Dinesh Vijan, who is also the producer of Varun starrer Bhediya.

The source further shared that the team is confident about beginning shoot early next year as the vaccination drives are in full swing. The makers are also sure that they don’t want to compromise with the vision. Well, the actor has been incredibly busy with back to back shooting schedules all year. He recently decided to take a breather and jetted off for a vacation with his wife Natasha Dalal. The happy couple returned home yesterday.
