Ekta Kapoor Remembers Fighting To Cast Sushant Singh Rajput As The Lead In Pavitra Rishta Writes, 'Not Fair Sushi'

Sushant Singh Rajput may have arrived in Bollywood in 2013 but the actor’s started out in the entertainment business way before. His first big break came as Ekta Kapoor’s TV drama Pavitra Rishta where he was loved as Manav.

Needless to say Producer Ekta Kapoor was really close to the late actor and is shattered on hearing about his death.

The producer who had just a week ago written about fighting to make Sushant the lead of her show Pavitra Rishta after her shows dropped out of the top 50. The show was Ekta’s opportunity to get back in the game with this Zee TV show but the creative team at Zee wasn’t conviced on her choice of casting Sushant. The show changed everything for both Ekta and Sushant and the actor had also commented on the post thanking her for the opportunity.

Mourning Sushant’s demise with a mention of this post she wrote, “Not fair sushi ! One week everything changed ! Not fair my baby!”

The actor’s death has sparked a conversation about depression yet again and fans and celebrities alike want him to be allowed to rest in peace by respecting his family’s privacy in this time of grief.
