Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been in the news since quite a few days. Well, we all know the entire nation is under lockdown. There is nothing happening and no one knows how long will this situation persist. In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic and the nationwide lockdown, everybody is bearing huge losses.

The Bollywood industry too is experiencing the same. No shoots are taking place, the actors have confined themselves to their houses. The cinema halls are shut, the new releases have been postponed. All in all, things are looking pretty grim. Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali too decided to demolish the Gangubai Kathiawadi set because there was no shoot happening and the production house was incurring loss because of that.

However, yesterday there were reports of the director winning a case against Eros international. Well, according to reports, Bhansali moved to court against Eros to restraint it from selling, licensing, distributing and exploiting the 2013 film starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. Eros International said, there wasn’t any urgency in the process. However, the court ruled in favour of Bhansali and Eros now has to pay him Rs. 19.39 lakhs.

However, turns out the news in its entirety is not true. Well, a spokesperson of Eros International got in touch with us and he stated that the case is in their favour as opposed to what has been reported in the media and that the court knows it too. "The Bombay High Court has adjourned the case in our favour. Eros always sticks to best corporate governance and business practices and had already given the cheque in advance as per our agreement.”

He went on to state that appropriate legal action will be taken against Bhansali’s production house for the false statement issued to the media. “ We will take appropriate legal action against Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s production for this mala fide and unfounded action, which has also been duly noted by the court”
