    EXCLUSIVE: Bollywood Had Lots Of Problems With My Voice, Reveals Shweta Tripathi

    Actress Shweta Tripathi who was last seen in the film Gone Kesh has been appreciated for her acting prowess and her courage to take up roles that are unconventional. Be it a Masaan or a Mirzapur, Tripathi makes sure, she gives a hundred percent to her craft. The 33-year-old actress will now be seen in Amazon Prime Original’s next Laakhon Mein Ek season 2. The web series has been created by Biswa Kalyan Rath. 

    Today, everything seems to be good for the actress but there was a time when she had to struggle and face rejections in the entertainment industry by its people.

    When Desimartini.com exclusively got in touch with Tripathi who has been reaping the fruits of her hard work, she revealed that initially many people had many problems with her voice! “During my initial days in the entertainment industry, there were many who said my voice isn’t good enough and that I sound older for my age.” However, the actress was pretty confident that she indeed has a good voice. Quipped she, “I always do my own voice-overs and hate it when other actors dub for me.” Shedding light on her next Tamil venture she furthered, “I am debuting in the Tamil film space and when my director came up to me and asked whether I would dub in Tamil, I was ecstatic. I had my doubts though because I didn’t know the language, nevertheless, I made sure, I dubbed for my character because I love my voice.”

    Shweta thinks people try to put down someone who is struggling and hasn’t achieved much by being judgemental. She asserted, “People always have a problem with you until you become something or you achieved something. Earlier, people used to say, Shweta’s face doesn’t go at all with her voice, it is her voice that makes her look so mature. And now, all those people who had a problem with my voice, now keep absolutely shut!”
