EXCLUSIVE: Extraction: Priyanshu Painyuli Opens Up On Competition And Comparisons Between Him, Randeep Hooda And Pankaj Tripathi

Netflix’s Extraction has been in the news since it started streaming on the web platform and the show has been getting a lot of rave reviews. Extraction stars Hollywood heartthrob Chris Hemsworth in the lead. The Russo brothers’ production also stars Randeep Hooda and actor Priyanshu Painyuli.

We exclusively got in touch with Priyanshu about to know whether he felt any pressure being a part of such a huge ensemble cast. We also wanted to know from him whether he thought when people will see him and Randeep Hooda and Pankaj Tripathi together, whether they would be compelled to compare their performances or no.

Priyanshu was pretty confident while saying that he looks upto all the actors in the film and he didn’t feel the air of competition heavy on him. Quipped he, “I was actually very happy when I got to know that I am a part of such a big ensemble and I have been a fan of everyone, especially the Indian cast which includes Pankaj Tripathi and Randeep Hooda. I have also been a fan of David and Chris (Hemsworth) so it was a privilege to be part of such an ensemble. I don’t think, anywhere there was anything about comparisons with one another.”

The actor also stated that he was pretty new to the industry and the characters everyone had in the film too were vastly different from each other and hence that as well left no room for comparisons of any kind, “I think even the audience knows I am very new as an actor and I am grateful to have gotten this opportunity to be in such a big film so early on in my career and do such a different kind of a role. Also, our roles and the characters we play in the film are very different from one another. So, I don’t think there is any comparison to be done and the kind of love and response we have been getting for the film has been great and all of us are being given some great positive feedback for our performance.”
