EXCLUSIVE: Gurfateh Pirzada Pledges Help To Migrant Labourers, Reveals His Plans Post Lockdown

The Coronavirus pandemic has stretched its paws and has clutched the Indian subcontinent and how. There are increasing numbers of cases every day and now, Indians are under a 21-day lockdown that has been imposed by the Indian government. All the businesses are shut and the film shoots have been stalled and this has resulted in humongous loses as far as the film industry is concerned.

Guilty actor Gurfateh Pirzada like everyone else is quarantined in his own house. The COVID 19 issue has been a pressing problem to the actor right from its inception. However, Pirzada is doing everything under his control to keep fit and healthy.

In an exclusive conversation with Desimartini, Gurfateh revealed that he has no other choice but to stay indoors and he also said that once the lockdown is over, he wants to grab a huge bit on his favourite pizza. Quipped he, “I want to go out and have a good pizza, I love Pizzas and I would like to have a couple of nice pizzas with some drinks with my friends.

He further went on to state that besides meeting his friends he would also be travelling immediately after the curfew has been called off. “I would also want to meet a lot of my friends amongst other things that work and the regular everyday stuff that one wants to do. Also, one of the top to-do things in my list is to visit Delhi, meet my high school friends. So, I am going to do that.” He stated.

While speaking about Delhi he also opened up about a pressing problem that a country has been witnessing right from the very beginning of lockdown. The actor seemed to be really concerned about the plight of the migrant workers and the daily wage earners. He admitted that life is indeed hard for them at such times. “Talking about Delhi, there is also another very important issue I want to shed light on, It is the migrant labourers' issue. It has caught on a lot of fire and has been in the news for a long time. I think what happens is when a thing like this hits your country, it is very important for everyone to be aware and you want to be thoughtful about the people who are labourers, like daily wage workers. People who belong to the lowest rung of society because it hits them very hard.”

He went on to reveal that he will be helping them in his capacity and has also urged people to contribute whatever they can to help them. “I hope we all can come forward and help them, I personally will and I believe everyone should. Even a little bit of help matters and I hope things don’t go so bad and we can all be back to work soon and lead a regular life soon but be more mindful about how to live and find a more sustainable way of living and co-exist with everyone.”
