EXCLUSIVE: Harman Baweja To Turn Producer; Ropes in Aditi Rao Hydari To Play Female Lead

Actor Harman Baweja didn’t quite have a successful stint in Bollywood. He had been a part of numerous films under the Baweja films banner but those didn’t even work. Baweja had his share of link up rumours with actresses. The 37 year old had only seen some fame when he was being touted to be the doppelganger of Hrithik Roshan!

However, that fame had seriously cost him his career. The Love Story 2050 actor barely got to have an identity of his own and that is one of the main reasons behind his fleeting trajectory.

Having said that, he is clearly not a person to lose hope.

We say that because according to a source close to Harman, “he is all set to step into his dad’s shoes and become a producer.” Yes, Harman is all set to produce his first project titled "Saatan”.

The source further revealed, “the film will chronicle the fates of rural girls and how some unwieldy and age-old custom wreaks havoc in their individual lives.” From the premise of the story it seems, Harman is ready to take up serious subjects for his production venture. And now especially when the time calls upon action against all the atrocities that a woman is faced with, such a story and premise is bound to hit the raw nerve!

Baweja films is knowns to have a great reputation in the film industry and therefore roping in actors was not a tedious task. This is a woman-centric film which is why an adept actress was required to portray the lead role. The source informed us “after a lot of deliberating, Aditi Rao Hydari was zeroed in for the role.”

Hydari will be playing a girl with nerves of steel in the film, “Aditi’s role will be that of a girl from a remote village which has its own archaic customs. The girls in the village would be in a very pathetic state because of the goings on and the strange conventions that were against the womenfolk. Aditi will be playing the girl who takes a stand against these customs and fights them singlehandedly!
