Exclusive: Hina Khan’s beau Rocky Jaiswal compares her journey in the industry to that of Shah Rukh Khan & Vidya Balan

One of the most popular and well-known celebrities from our Indian television industry, Hina Khan began her journey in the land of entertainment as a contestant on Indian Idol. She went on to win hearts and became a household name thanks to her performance as Akshara of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. After 8 long years, the actress quit the daily soap to experiment as an artist and participated in various reality shows. Last year, Hina made her smashing Bollywood debut with Vikram Bhatt’s Hacked. Well, Hina is currently soaring high on all the love that she is receiving for her short film Lines, which also fetched her the Best Actress Award at the Montgomery International Film Festival, USA.

Desimartini recently caught up with Hina’s beau Rocky Jaiswal, who has co-produced Lines, to talk about the film as well as the actress. When asked about his thoughts on how far Hina has come, Rocky replied, “Pretty far! I think she is one of a kind, you know, and I for one have not really seen so many people.. There have been instances, there have been big people who made it to the silver screen, so to say, or the biggest medium that is available in the country. But one thing is very different with Hina and to point it out I’ll say nobody was exposed as a primary household face as much as Hina. You know, she was a household name for 8 long years. You know, children grow in 8 years and they have a personality by that time. So, it’s a very very big thing as she broke through all those barriers, she broke through all those stereotypes.

Rocky shared, “From a over the top, or I can say larger than life bahu, she has become Hina Khan and to achieve that I think it’s just remarkable. I, for one, have not seen anybody like that. There have been instances who have come from TV, they have ruled the industry, but they were not as exposed probably, as Hina. I think the closest reference that I can think of would be probably Shah Rukh Khan and Vidya Balan. So, even they were not exposed for 8 long years consecutively for every day, you know. So that I think is a very very remarkable thing for her to be achieving and fulfilling.”

He went on to add that her journey is still very long but she is such a person who can do everything in terms of achieving her goals and in the future she will surprise fans by how far she has come. Well, we definitely feel everybody needs love and support in life to fulfill their dreams and it sure is nice to see that Hina has some of the most caring people around her, boosting her every step of the way.
