EXCLUSIVE: I Ragged Aditya Seal On The Sets Of Fittrat, Reveals Director Santosh Singh

Speaking about his desire to direct, Santosh revealed, “I always wanted to direct, I started off with Kkusum, it was almost a year, I had started going through potential scripts for me to direct. That was the time, I was shooting in Bulgaria for Brahmastra. I was the first AD for the film with Ayaan Mukherjee.” 

The newbie director was absolutely clueless about having to direct Broken. It just came to him out of the blue. Quipped he, “We had just wrapped up Brahmastra in Bulgaria and a friend got in touch with me, with the script of Broken. He told me, the director who ALT began shooting with had some issues and they were not happy with it and so they were looking for another one to be on board. The good thing was I was getting to direct it and the bad thing was I had to start working on it from the very next week. However, he was not comfortable shooting without having a look at the script. He stated, “I wanted to go through the script, read it and understand it. After I did, I fell in love with it.”

The director started off his career with Balaji productions, but he just met Ekta once. He revealed, “I barely met Ekta during Broken, I met her for the first time when I had to show her the first episode I shot. Even though I had worked with Balaji before, I don’t think she knew me, but she does know that I worked with Balaji at one point in time. The thing is anyone working in the industry has some point of time in their lives have worked with Balaji.”

Speaking more about his latest web show Fitrat, Santosh revealed, it was a film script and was supposed to be made into a film but it didn't happen. “Fitrat was a film script that Dharma and Balaji were supposed to produce collectively but that never took off. After the producer of Fitrat saw Broken, he was excited and wanted to meet me so that I could direct the web series.  After I heard him narrating Fitrat, I was sold! When I was told Aditya Seal, Anushka Ranjana and Krystle Dsouza in it, I was happy even more. We started shooting in March and finished it in August. We travelled to North India extensively. The actors in Fitrat went out of their way to make the web series the way it is today. He stated.

According to Anushka Ranjan and Krystle Dsouza, Aditya Seal is an absolute diva who is always worried about his make up and how he is looking in front of the camera, on the contrary Santosh feels that Aditya is anyway good looking and he just likes to be prim and proper. He said, “All the three had a lot of fun and I used to rag Aditya, Anushka and Krystle."
