BB14 Exclusive: Jaan Kumar Sanu Asserts ‘I Am Definitely No Product Of Nepotism’, Says His Father Wants Him To Be Self Made

Kumar Sanu’s son from his first wife Rita Bhattacharya, Jaan Kumar Sanu is all set to make his first public appearance on Bigg Boss 14. At a time, when the nepotism and favouritism debate has flared up like never before, it is indubitable that such conjectures will be made by the audiences. 

We exclusively got in touch with Jaan to know what misgivings he had about being a part of the controversial reality TV show where people are free to arrive at any conclusion and in the aftermaths of it all, it is the contestant who suffers. However, Jaan seems to be well-equipped. He says he is coming on the show to prove it to the world that just like his father he is self-made as well and there is zero support from his father in terms of his career. Quipped he, “Actually, this is one of the reasons for which I am going on the show, a lot of people have this misconception regarding star kids. I feel I am definitely not a product of nepotism, because had I been one, everyone would have heard me in a lot of movies and a lot of big projects. My father has been guiding me, he has been giving me a lot of good advice to hone my singing skill but there has never been any kind of partiality or any kind of favour that he has done as such. He is a self-made man, there has been no godfather who helped him to be where he is today. He didn’t use any connections to get the recognition in the industry and he wants me to do the same. He has made it himself.”
