    Exclusive: This Is Why Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan Release Date Has Been Shifted For The Third Time, Reveals Boney Kapoor

    Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan is slated to release on 13st August, ’21. This is for the third time that the film has come up with a new release date. Earlier, the film was all geared up for release on 27th November, ’20 and then the date was shifted to 11th December, ’21.

    The film that is based on the golden year of Indian Football stars Ajay Devgn in the role of Syed Abdul Rahim who was the coach and manager of Indian Football team from 1950 until his death on 1963.

    The latest news about the film was, the release of it was postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic. However, when we got in touch with the co-producer of the film Boney Kapoor he told us that all of those news are false, "Why isn't there any verification before publishing anything?" He questions.

    He stated, that this is the first time that a film of such a huge scale was being produced in Bollywood, “Maidaan is a period sports drama, based on real events between 1952 to 1962 also known as the golden era of Indian football. For the first time, a film of this scale and vision is being produced in India. This powerful story, comprising the most talented creative talent of our country, required a larger than life vision. We were excited and ready for the challenge.”
